31/365

I took Kaitlyn to the mall today to get her some new earrings. This was her prize for making the honor roll for the 2nd nine weeks. She was excited to finally get some that "dangled".

Guess what I recovered this morning: my stolen camera! There is a long story that goes along with how I found it but I will post that on my regular blog.

Kyle and I dropped off Kaitlyn to spend the night with my mom. He couldn't resist playing a bit before we left.

My kids were conked out tonight at about 6:30. It was so peaceful in my house, ha!

21/365

Here is the first picture I took with my new cell phone. This project is going to be a little more challenging now that I don't have my small purse camera. Plus I have to buy a new memory card. I am not sure about the quality of the photos but they will have to do for now because I do not have even 100 extra dollars to buy a new one right now. However I am going to do my best to not give up on the project.

Kyle was "making a picture" with my punches.

It started snowing really big pretty flakes this morning. Here is the view out my classroom window.

And I did take a picture yesterday but my camera was stolen, memory card and all (long story) before I could get the photo uploaded. :(

I am going on a scrapbook retreat this weekend! We are leaving in just a few minutes, I am super excited. Here is my stuff packed and ready to go.

I think I did really well trying to pack light.

15/365

I was at home from work today and went out to the grocery store for a bit. John is at home with a hurt foot and so Kyle was just playing in the den. When I got home I see this:

Kyle had scooted the couch all the way up to the TV and was playing with his nintendo. Naturally I asked why he did that. He said "I wanted to see better".

I was organizing my paper tonight at my BIL's. The pool table worked as a great space to do this. And again today is another example of me taking a picture of something and then using a different picture for the POTD. And here I thought it might be hard to take a picture everyday. Nope the hard part is only taking (or using) just one!

Thou shalt not covet thy friends project 365 kit!

ETA: I should have said I am not in this picture and did not get a kit. Dianne (on the right) received her kit and Amy (on the left) did not. However Amy has the school kit which are no longer available and Dianne wants one of those.

8/365

I am going to eat tonight at Firebird's with my bunco group and so I had every intention of taking a photo of all of us and using that as my POTD. Well just now Kyle and Kaitlyn came running in here laughing and Kaitlyn said "look what I did to Kyle's
hair". So I had to snap a picture really quick. This one is not very good but I went to take another one and he was already pulling the rubber bands out so this will have to do. I will have other dinners with the girls (and will still of course take pictures tonight) but Kyle will probably never allow Kaitlyn to do this to him again. Just one reason why I love this project, funny everyday stuff! Enjoy laughing at my son and my realization that I should probably go get his hair cut soon!

Kaitlyn and Kyle both have Nintendo DSes. I often here them say to one another "hey Kyle (or Kaitlyn), do you want to text".

Kaitlyn has become good at making things in the kitchen, much to her Daddy's liking. Tonight she made him and her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

5/365

I snapped this picture this morning before I left for work. Kyle had gotten all the red cars and put them on the couch cushion on the floor. The other cars were also sorted by color but those were by the door. He is always sorting things by color, not sure what (or if) that means.

1/365

One of Kaitlyn's favorite activities (and she is pretty good at it).

365 Project

I receive the Creating Keepsakes magazine in the mail and one of the authors put out a challenge to take a photo a day for 365 days (one year). Then you scrap those photos one week at a time. I am going to attempt to do this and hopefully improve my photography skills and make me realize more of what I am grateful for. So this blog will be dedicated to those photos. There probably won't be a lot of writing, I am going to try and make it more about the photo. I have several friends that are also doing this challenge so hopefully we can keep each other motivated to stick with it. I am beginning mine today but some have already started as they want their weeks to begin on Sunday.
